CLASS ORGANIZATION

Class size: about 35 students/ Intake

The course of studies covers 2 years with 3 taught semesters and 1 semester for Master thesis.

Classes will be held in during weekday evenings or weekends in block of 4 to 7 days in Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. The course language is English. You have the option to study the forth semester in Switzerland (additional fees applied).

Proven to be the most effective method of management training, the lectures are a combination of case studies, simulations, presentations, workshops and teamwork in small groups. The exams run parallel with the studies, i.e. homework and presentations are carried out during the semester, written exams are taken about 3 or 4 weeks after the lectures.

Upon student requests and the occasion, small consulting projects may be supervised by professors, thus supplementing the acquired know-how by practical experience. Extracurricular activities such as study groups, common activities and events, can also be organized in cooperation with the EMBA-MCI team on the initiative of students.

Students are well supported with our academic services: light refreshment, library, tutor, e – learning, self – study room, etc.

SERVICES AND FACILITIES

Tutor: EMBA-MCI has a faculty of tutors to help MCI students review specialized knowledge before written examinations. They are enthusiastic and experienced in teaching as well as have sound knowledge to support students.

Library: EMBA-MCI students are provided with 3 sources of knowledge for their study, including:

- Library of EMBA-MCI Program

- Library of HCM University of Technology

- Online database of library of Vietnam National University

Self – study room: At EMBA-MCI, the time spent for self study is greater than the time spent in class. Realizing group study as a tradition of MCI students, we allow students to borrow well – equipped rooms for self study or group study.

Book purchasing: EMBA-MCI is the pioneer in Management Consulting field, which is the emerging industry in Vietnam. At leading position, we would like to enable students to access to state – of – the – art knowledge of Consulting and Management in the world. Therefore, MCI students may require original books which have not been available in Vietnam for their study. Our staff is willing to help.

Light refreshment: Tea, coffee, snacks, sandwiches and fruits, etc. are available at break time of all class sessions to increase the capability of acquiring knowledge during the class.

Classrooms: Classes are held in well- equipped rooms with the capability from 40 to 80 seats. Students could maximize the knowledge absorption with the support of projectors, air –con, flip charts and other necessary devices depending on the Module and lecturer's requirement.

E-learning: Each MCI students are given an account to access EMBA-MCI E-learning System. This service not only helps students get learning materials from class in case they miss any classes but also be informed with their results for reference.
