1. Introduction

The development of the society with its resultant economic changes requires the leadership ability of business owners to ensure the existence and development of their enterprise. Obviously, to fight off this enormous challenge, it is vital for them to improve themselves with sufficient knowledge and prowess accumulated. A talent leader should be well equipped with basic knowledge of the economy and general management to understand how to ensure things work out in the complicated economic scenario.

2. Objectives
 

The objective of this module is to give a basic insight into business economics as required for the work undertaken by consultants. In view of the different specialist backgrounds of the students in the post -graduate course the module focuses on creating a uniform basis in the knowledge and understanding of economics. The orientation is the development of the business economic analytical ability of the students.

The seven – day course with 8 units will equip you with the theoretical basis as well as experience case studies of the structures of an organization as well as relevant knowledge relating to its operation, including:

4. Participants

This course brings benefit to those who would like to keep themselves informed of the strategy and process to cope with both problems caused by both objective and subjective changes. They may come from a wide range of business backgrounds with various positions that thought to be directors, executives or leaders. Similarly, they may be perspective managers or intellectuals who are determined to succeed.

5. Lecturer

Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong

Currently be the rector of International University, Vietnam National University – HCMC; Received Doctor of Engineering degree in Industrial Systems Engineering Program, School of Advanced Technologies (SAT), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in 1997 and be promoted  the title Associate Professor by HCM University of Technology in 2001. Maim academic interests are Multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) in industry, Stochastic Processes in Industry, Project Management, Multiple criteria optimization techniques, Simulation modeling in manufacturing systems; Business Simulation for Re-engineering, Optimization-simulation integration, Decision Support System and Expert system for Industrial application and Management application, CAD/CAM and CIM, Quantitative Method for Management. Be the author and co-author of 11 publications of economics and technology.

-       Having 2 – 3 years working experience
